Task 6

1.  People around the world left their education after school because of many reasons, but nowadays many people are continuing their education also because other reasons. In this essay I’m going to write if these are positive or negative developments.

2.  Many people eat meals without balance, they don’t care about the health. Why do they eat like this?
It could be because they are hungry and could be angry. In this essay I’m going to discuss if I agree or disagree with this statement.

3.  Many people said that universities should prepare graduates with several skills that they needed in the workplace. However others said a universities should give them more subjects to increase their knowledge for student’s own sake. In this essay I’m going to discuss and write my opinion.

Task 4

The media have a great influence in changing people’s ideas these days. Sometimes I agree and sometimes I disagree because of some reasons. In this task I’m going to write about these reasons.
Firstly, I will discuss about why I agree. Reason number one is TV. People who watch something on TV try to copy it, like dancing, singing or policy like what happened in some countries around the world to change their leaders. Video games is reason number two. This one can change kid’s ideas more than people. Kids can play dangerous games which can effect them badly. Finally, the internet, from it I can get any information I want.
Now I will discuss the reasons why I disagree. Media or social network don’t always influence in changing people ideas, there are other things that can influence. Firstly family, they have a huge impact on our life. My parents, brothers or grandparents, I try to copy my father or big brother like how they walk or talk. Another reason is teachers. Sometimes I feel like they are our second parents or friends. Our teachers they can change our ideas if they are wrong, they teach us attitude and respect. The last reason is friends, who influence us in communication, socialising and sometimes in hobbies.
In my opinion we should teach our kids or children in which one can believe or when they can change their ideas. Not everything should influence us.

TASK 3

The graph shows the number of fishermen in millions for different regions between 1970, 1980 and 2000, and the table shows the world’s top ten exporters of fish in 2000. Overall I’m going to write about this in my second paragraph.
Firstly I’m going to write about the graph. The number of fishermen in Asia increased from 11 million to 26 million in 2000. However South America remained the same during these 3 years. The number of fishermen in Europe fluctuated from 13 million to 8 million then rose again to 13 million.
Secondly I’m going to talk about the table.  Thailand ranked on the top of table as the world’s highest top ten exporter of fish in 2000. South Korea ranked number ten as lowest exporter of fish in 2000.
In conclusion, some Asian countries have developed within the world’s top ten exporter of fish in 2000 because of the highest number of fishermen there.

TASK 2

From time to time people like to move or change their cities or countries for some reasons. But today people move more than ever before. In this essay I’m going to write about the challenges that people experience to move and what strategies there are to meet these challenges.
Many challenges could be behind this move. Language could be the first challenge. People are from different countries so their languages are different so it’s difficult to understand each other. Secondly the different of culture and religions, for example clothes and food. Muslim people sometimes can’t eat or drink or wear what other religions allowed.  Culture it’s all different. This problem could be important and that is the community where people live, they don’t know anyone there, which made them move to another city.
The strategies to overcome challenges are a lot, first one is language. You should know a little about other languages by taking a language course or learn it from someone. Another strategy is culture, it’s so simple to know about any country’s culture and you don’t need to move or ask all you need  using Internet, with one click you find everything. However, if you don’t like internet it’s easy to find anything about this country or city culture all you need is find a library. Make new friends in your new area and letting your kids too can make your living in this area easily.
In conclusion and my opinion is all people in the world are different in many things. They talk differently, eat differently, drink differently, walk differently, but believe me we all are similar, only we are different in culture, languages and religions. We need to know each other or you need to know at least your community people and their language and culture.

TASK 1

The graphs show films shown in Britain and Australia by origin in 2000 and cinema attendance from 1980 – 2000 measured in millions.
As can seen from the bar graph 75% of films shown in Britain are US films and 67% in Australia. People in Australia watched only Australian films. However in Britain they had both, Australian and with 20% British films. Other films in Australia are more than Britain.
The line graph shows that the highest attendance was in Britain compared with Australia since 1980. The attendance in Britain fluctuated throughout the period 1980 to 1990. There was a slow rise in Britain from 1990 to 2000. The attendance in Australia stood at 40 million from 1984 to 1990, and then the number increased to reach 90 million people.
The main consolation that can draw from the graphical information is that attendance in each country is increasing slightly since 1990.

Jasim Al Hammadi's Formal Presentation (black hawk)

I will be writing a report about Jasim Al Hammadi’s presentation. His presentation was about a helicopter called the black hawk. His English was pretty good, easy to understand and his presentation was well made with many exciting pictures and he presented it well.
He talked about the company that built this helicopter, the specifications of it, the uses and the crew. He started by telling us about the manufacturer of it, including its engine power, how high and how fast can it fly. Then he talked about the crew of this helicopter that consists of a pilot, co-pilot and two gunners each at a door. Then he talked about the main uses for this helicopter. He started with giving us an example of its use in the army; they use it for the fast rope missions. Then he also said that the navy uses it for rescuing missions in the sea.
Finally he gave us some information about the weapons this helicopter could carry and that sometimes the rocket holders could be used to carry big petrol tanks for long distance missions.
